About SPACAS
Shenyang
Patent Agency of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (SPACAS) was founded in 1985
and is one of the firms designated by the State Intellectual Property of P. R.
of China to handle Intellectual Property matters both domestically and abroad
including patent application, patent proceedings, and related attorney issues,
being engaged by an organization as patent consultant, as well as consulting on
patent technology development, patent literature searching, trademark and
copyright matters.
SPACAS
has set up four departments. They are the Administrative Office, Agent Office,
Development Office and Law Office.
Many
attorneys in SPACAS have been previously employed by various research
institutes of the Shenyang Branch of the Chinese Academy of
Sciences and engaged in scientific research for years. Ninety per cent of the
attorneys, lawyers and technical brokers have an academic title of professor.
They have rich experience of patent affairs related to Chemistry and
Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering,
Automatic Control, Physics and Material Science, Computer Science and
Pharmacology. SPACAS provides good services to settle disputes of intellectual
property and to register trademarks and copyrights. All of them have received
further training at the State Intellectual Property of P. R. of China, Beijing.
Therefore, SPACAS is able to meet the needs of clients in all areas of
technology and assures its clients of high quality services.
Achievements
Since
was founded, SPACAS has paid close attention to the principles of rigourism,
sincerity, honesty, quality, efficiency and doing an excellent job at the
Chinese Academy of Sciences and has become one of the most well-known patent agencies
in the Liaoning region. SPACAS has been awarded as an Advanced Group by the
Ministry of National Personnel Resources and the Chinese Academy of
Sciences many times. Some of the members in the firm have received Advanced
Worker Awards for many years. Therefore, SPACAS distinguishes itself in Liaoning Province and
the Chinese Academy of Sciences system.

About Director
Zongfu
Xu, director of SPACAS, a member of the Intellectual Property Research Council
of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professional Intellectual Property Committee of
State Lawyers’ Association, received certification as a patent agent in 1985
and as a lawyer in 1993. He has been engaged in research work for many years.
As a research fellow, he has outstanding experience in the field of patent and
Legal affairs and won the honor of the Number One Scholar by the State
Intellectual Property of P. R. of China 1991.
